Herdsires For HireGrand Duke
Duke - Full Peruvian 1/2 Accoyo at Your Service “Accoyo” alpacas refer to Peruvian Huacaya alpacas that have been bred by Don Julio Berreda at the Estancia Accoyo Farm in Peru. For over 50 years, Don Julio Berreda has been breeding only those alpacas that meet high standards for conformation and fibre fineness, density and uniformity. Accoyo alpacas are considered an exclusive breed, as there are little more than 600 pure Accoyo alpacas outside Peru. Combining Accoyo bloodlines with your herd can help to produce fibre with the best crimp, coverage, luster and density in your dams’ offspring. As well as being part of the famed Accoyo background, Duke is an extremely well-mannered, even-tempered boy. This boy bred many of the girls on our farm in 2005, and we had seven babies from him this year. Duke's white color came through to his babies, as six of them were white, and only one had color. The babies all have fantastic fleece and nice conformation. We are proud to offer Duke to your female alpacas to help you improve the overall quality of your herd. Apollo - Full Peruvian at Your Service Apollo has produced show-winning offspring for our farm. At 21 microns, his fibre is very fine and he also has the Peruvian density which he has proven to throw to his crias. We feel that Apollo's genetics would be a valuable asset to your farm. Atolocus - Peruvian/Chilean at Your Service A grand son of NGG Lionel, "Tolo" has excellent genetics in his court. His fibre is fine with lots of lustre. We will be breeding Tolo this year, and will be looking forward to seeing his 2009 crias. Wobbles - Peruvian/Chilean at Your Service Wobbles is his name, and density is his game! Wobbles got a Third place ribbon in the 2006 West Coast Alpaca Show Intermediate Fawn Class. His fibre is very soft to the touch, as well as being dense and crimpy. On top of having wonderful fibre, Wobbles' personality is sweet. Wobbles looks forward to breeding this summer, and we can't wait to see what his 2009 crias bring! |
